Group activities:
The group is common to FCC-ee and FCC-hh (and to FCC-eh). Technical information about the existing software can be found in this web page. The activities can be divided in the following categories:
WP Framework
– Handling of core framework and core EDM functionality
WP Generators
– Identification / Integration of relevant MC Generators into the infrastructure
– Expect synergy/overlap with physics groups
WP Detector
– DD4hep description of relevant detector concepts
WP Simulation
– Delphes integration of relevant detector concepts
– Parameterized particle based simulation
– Geant4 based simulation, full and fast.
– Pile-up and background treatment
WP MDI
– Interface relevant MDI codes and calculations
WP Reco
– Develop high-level reconstruction (isolation, particle ID, ...)
– Data formats to connect high-level and low-level reco
– Low-level reco very concept dependent, but need to keep an overview
WP Analysis
– Analysis environment (C++ / Python ) and training
WP Releases
– Provide consistent snapshots of releases
WP Validation
– Development and testing infrastructure
